Barkant Turnip

These turnips grow quickly and produce large leaves and tankard-type bulbs.  The highly nutritious and attractive leaves and bulbs result in very little not consumed.  Tolerant of acidic soils.  Deer will graze on the Forage Turnip earlier than rape.

Planting:

• Plant up to ½“inch deep

• August 1st into early fall

• Drill 4-6 lbs. per acre

• Broadcast 6-8 lbs. per acre

• pH: 6.0-7.0

Soil Type Preference: Heavy or light, well or poorly drained
